During April and May, the early morning hours of Kentucky light brings forth the sheen of Kentucky Bluegrass as it reflects off the buds in the meadows. Kentucky is the birthplace to both Abraham Lincoln and Jefferson Davis. Its the birthplace and home to the nation's best thoroughbred horse racing. From the time that Daniel Boon passed through the romantic rolling hills of Kentucky, the land has not been well populated. Even today much of the state is rural, quiet, beautiful and pristine. Kentucky is a place where you can come to relax and unwind. It is a place that, even if you are far away from where you live, you can almost call home.

Geography: Kentucky is bordered by Tennessee in the south, Virginia and West Virginia in the east, Ohio and Indiana in the north with Illinois and Missouri in the west. The state is hilly to mountainous. There is very litle flat land which does not discourage thousands of small family farms which dot the countryside. Tobacoo is grown here by most of these farmers in some small way.
Climate
Kentucky's weather is greatly influenced by its hills, valleys and mountains. Winters are cold and quite raw in the mountains. The summers are hot but pleasant in the higher elevations. Spring and Fall are very pleasant and mild. |
