"I never would have been President if it had not been for my experiences in North Dakota." These words of Theodore Roosevelt came from a man who had been seeking physical and spiritual comfort and strength after loosing both his mother and his first wife on the same day. Invigorated by the visit, and grateful for it, he returned to the East and left his mark on America and the world. Quiet and picturesque, North Dakota is charming in its rural American atmosphere. You may come from afar but in North Dakota you'll feel at home.
